Summary
Responsibilities in Asset Quality will include the collection of delinquent Consumer Loan accounts and related duties up to and including preparation and submission of delinquency reports, file preparation for charge-offs, foreclosure, bankruptcy and loss drafts.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for the collection of delinquent consumer loan accounts through written or telephone contact
- Maintains detailed and accurate records of all collection activity
- Responds to customer inquiries about their loan payments, late charges, or other collection matters
- Responsible for updating government reporting portals: NYS Foreclosure, Freddie Mac and e-OSCAR credit reporting tools
- Required to attend or take part in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to BSA, Security, Informational Technology, OFAC and Privacy courses
- Update departmental tracking logs and excel spreadsheets for bankruptcy, foreclosure, and loss drafts
- Provide requested loan documentation to Attorneys, Audit and Government Agencies
- Follow up on client tax payments with Municipalities
- Perform loan lost draft reviews using department procedures and guidelines
- Retrieve and upload commercial and retail loan documents to the Director Loan Image system
- Complete monthly PMI reports and address correction reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Asset Quality Manager
Job Requirements
- Associates Degree or High School Graduate with experience in customer contact
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of consumer credit laws and regulations preferred, not required
- Knowledge of loan processing and loan systems preferred, not required
- Familiarity with computer-related activities, including Microsoft Word and Excel
